    Easy question I hope.

Just received my new fuel tank off a '13 TW200. I want to put it on my '89. Any comparability issues other than a different sized fuel cap?

Not that I am aware of. To be honest, I did not think the cap was unique either.

My '96 does have a larger diameter cap than the '13. Not sure what year that changed.

My '89 fuel cap is definitely a larger diameter than the cap from my '10. Both are California bikes so the difference isn't a CA thing.

I believe that the gas cap size changed somewhere around 2002. I had a 2001 with the large cap and a 2003 with the small cap.

I believe the New Millenium ushered in all those wonderfull modern new high tech improvements for all US bound TWs like loosing the kickstarter but gaining a front disc brake and a smaller fuel cap.
