    Vesrah Base Gasket Kit?

I ordered what I thought was an OEM Base Gasket kit from ProCycle and I received this after market kit. Has anyone ever installed one of these Vesrah kits?

No. But I have used other stuff made by them without issues. They are a fairly common provider of some aftermarket parts

I would go aftermarket gaskets anyway since the oem base gasket always leaked, at least on a 1993.

When you order base gaskets you need to order 2010 and newer. Apparently Yamaha has improved them.

Vesrah is good! I have used them in the past and been happy.

You might try re-torquing the head bolts to see if that stops the leak.

The head bolts should gradually get tighter and tighter. If while tightening them the suddenly stop turning you need a better lubricant between the head bolt and the washer and between the washer and the head. It should feel very smooth.

I tried this once on my TW and the base gasket sealed up and never leaked again. I used Hornady Case Lube on the bolt but that stuff is expensive -- unless you have a friend that reloads and can bum a little from him. Engine oil doesn't do it. Maybe engine oil and STP????
