    Steering lock Barrel/Key

    Hi

Recently purchased a TW125 (I know they are pretty much identical to the TW200 so parts should fit) and the key was missing from when I bought the bike. So am looking to buy a new lock for it.

Anyone have a part number for the part? and where can I buy one? I'm in the UK but dont mind getting something shipped over.

New to the forum so sorry if I've got anything wrong, happy to correct it or for mods to help.

    Cheers!
    Tom

This gentleman is a forum member who works on and sells parts for TW's over there. His name is Sebastian and he is very helpful. He has a website: https://tw200forum.com/forum/tw200-cl...200-tw225.html He may be able to help you. Tell him littletommy sent you...

if its a drum brake front end model there is 1 on eBay which is a direct fit for a tenner, I've bought 10+ of these for my TW's over the past couple of years...if its a disc model you will need to cut the wires off your old ignition and join them

red - red , brown - brown, the 2 blues need to be joined together to allow the bike to run.

Cheers will give him a message!

Sorry I'm not sure if I was quite clear re reading my original post. I have a set of keys for ignition of the bike that work fine, I'm missing the key for the steering lock. The ones that lock the steering when you park it up, just don't want it stolen!

It's a T reg 1999 (I also believe it's an import because it was registered in the UK in 2012.) It has a front disc brake also!

The TW200 steering lock is built into the ignition barrel - you have a different version

Away from home at the moment, I'll get a picture when I can but the best I can do now is send this link

    https://www.oemmotorparts.com/oem5.a...YA-TW-125-1_ay

Part number 23 on the list which also conveniently doesn't have a part number nor is in stock

hmm, i've never seen that on a TW200, i presumed a 125cc would have been all the same just different piston size. i would have suggested that it was an old style of lock, but its listed as a 2001.
