My bike has a 14/55 Sprocket set up... and its still to fast for some terrain.

I want to try some larger rear Sprockets... But the largest I can find a listing for is a 55T.

Where can I find a Larger Sprockets... What other models have the same bolt pattern.. but larger diameter?

    Thank you

I think the best source for you is sprocket specialists.

The biggest possible size is 70.

Wow, a 60? That ought to be a real stump-puller. Or- get you up MT. Washington at an idle. It would be nice to hear what you thought of the combo if you put it together. OM

Make it a 13 / 55 for about the same ratio.

I have a 13T on order... but later read on this site that a 13T is not rec-amended.

I think I'm going to try the 13T when it comes and see how it looks and works.

    Thank you

I found a 64T from an Early 80's Yamaha last night on Ebay... got it for $18.83 with shipping.

Here it is... Will this fit? http://www.ebay.com/itm/120671695247...84.m1439.l2649

It looks like it will fit... hope it does. I will report back how I like it.

    Thanks for the info.

A 13/55 may not give the same problems as the guy with a 13/50 due to the bigger diameter of the 55 - just a thought.

    It will fit!

Take a look on the sprocket specialists page.

The TW200 and the XT200 does have the same rear sprocket part number #316.

The TW wheel sprockets from JT carry the part numbers JTR1842-xx, with the xx replaced with the number of teeth. JT sells sprockets with tooth counts of 37, 42, 44, 45, 47, 49, 50, 51, 52, 54, and 55. http://www.jtsprockets.com/catalogue/sprocket/JTR1842 shows all the bikes a JTR1942 will fit, so any wheel sprocket from any of those bikes will fit a TW.

Technically speaking, none of the JTR1842 sprockets will bolt on a TW with the stock hardware. They have a recessed mounting surface and need shorter bolts or washers to space the stock heads away from the sprocket.

The JTF 1669 is JT's countershaft sprocket, and is only available with 14 teeth. It is exclusive to the TW200 and 225 and bolts right on.

There are other 428 countershaft sprockets with the same splines that Yamaha uses, bit the retainer bolt holes are a different size. It would be nice if someone with access to a sprocket inventory could measure a few and determine possible donors. Parts Unlimited sells sprockets with various tooth counts for the TW, but the retainer bolt holes need to be drilled to fit the bigger bolts required and makes no mention of the difference. My computers lack the resolution to make use of online Parts Unlimited resources. It would be nice if someone with access to the Parts Unlimited catalogues could figure out which sprockets are listed for the TW, then use the crossover catalogue to determine which other bikes those sprockets fit.

About 3 years ago, Spudrider posted the following:

In the interest of helping other riders, I have compiled the following information regarding the availability of countershaft sprockets for the Yamaha TW200 motorcycle. To the best of my knowledge, countershaft sprockets for the TW200 are available from six different manufacturers. If I have made any errors, or omitted any important information, please do correct me.

PBI is a company located in Oregon. They manufacture the following countershaft sprockets that fit the Yamaha TW200:

    12-tooth sprocket, part #50-733-12

    13-tooth sprocket, part #50-733-13

    14-tooth sprocket, part #50-733-14

    15-tooth sprocket, part #50-733-15

I have also seen reports of a 16-tooth sprocket, part #50-733-16. However, this sprocket might not be currently manufactured.

All PBI sprockets should be able to use the Yamaha sprocket bolts and retaining clip without modification.

Parts Unlimited also markets countershaft sprockets for the Yamaha TW200:

    13-tooth sprocket, part #K22-2601B

    14-tooth sprocket, part # K22-2675

    15-tooth sprocket, part # K22-2601C

It has been reported that the Parts Unlimited sprockets require larger bolts, and larger holes must be drilled in the sprocket retaining clip.

JT Sprockets produces one model that fits the TW200:

    14-tooth sprocket, part #JTF 1559.14

Sprocket Specialists produces two models that fit the TW200:

    14-tooth sprocket, part #566-14

    15-tooth sprocket, part #566-15

Be careful to select the correct year of manufacture for your motorcycle when ordering these sprockets. It has been reported by some TW200 owners that these sprockets are a very tight fit on the countershaft.

SunStar Sprockets makes one model that fits the Yamaha TW200:

    14-tooth sprocket, part #21314

Finally, Yamaha also markets a sprocket for the TW200:

    14-tooth sprocket, part #93823-14149-00

I know of no correction other than Sunstar has added a 15T to its lineup.

EDIT: The PBI 12T and 13T countershaft sprockets need a circlip to retain them--there is not room for bolts. The countershaft sprockets off a 74-75 Suzuki RL250 also fit.

PBI and Sunstar will make aluminum wheel sprockets in any size you desire. Have a thick wallet.
