    Start with the bulb itself.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

Powdercoated '87 frame, extended swingarm, YZ fork legs, ATV tire, 14/55, XT350 tank, spliced quick-release seat, disc brake conversion, beeg headlight, beeger rack, Lizrdcooler, Lizrdventz and bunch of other stuff all covered in invisible ink.

like Lizrbrth said. Start with bulb and might be able to swap high beam indicator bulb with neutral bulb? I haven't done this or know if its possible on tw but Ive done this with other bikes.

Mine has gone out too. A quick trip to the auto parts store with old bulb in hand solved it.
If you can't find it, grind it

Indicator bulbs don't last on a TW, a few thousand miles at best. I switched to LEDs and no more problems for the next 38,000 miles. Just replaced the speedo illuminating LED. which went out. While I had the bike apart, went ahead and changed the 4-LED bulbs with 1-LED bulbs beacuse the 4-LED bulbs were too bright.
