Tore down carburetor and cleaned, new needle valve, seat. Float not stuck. It will start, then run for a few seconds, then die out. Will start immediately after sometimes, or needs to crank for a few seconds, then will run. Sometimes I can ride for for a few hundred feet, then die out. Petcock clean, but seems to stop getting fuel.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

Could be a few things. The tank vent or bowl vents could be clogged. Could even be a spark/electrical issue.

Year model and 49-state or Cali bike?

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

Powdercoated '87 frame, extended swingarm, YZ fork legs, ATV tire, 14/55, XT350 tank, spliced quick-release seat, disc brake conversion, beeg headlight, beeger rack, Lizrdcooler, Lizrdventz and bunch of other stuff all covered in invisible ink.
