My new tw200 clutch engages at almost the end of the clutch lever travel when letting the clutch out. And I can push the motorcycle with the lever depressed and the motor running but with the motor shut off and the clutch lever depressed there is a lot of drag and I can't push the motorcycle. Is this normal? I have over 1000 miles.

My 1990 is the same exact way. I think its just the way it is. You should be able to adjust your free play and where your clutch engages somewhat, but the drag is normal.

Good reference Mr. Gizmow. You should be able to have your bike turned off and in gear and be able to pull in the clutch and push it. There will be some drag but it should roll.
