Kick-Starter REMOVAL - donor bike still fine to e-start only?

Have two running TW's. Can I pull my kick starter off my old TW, and install into newer bike and just plug hole in void/side with plug used in newer cover WITHOUT Causing any issues with old bike? Will I be able to make this swap and still use the old bike with just the electric start only? No issues? I want my newer bike to have the kick out of the two.

Any advise/warnings on the process. I am guessing a side gasket, oil and new kick shaft seal are my only parts needed... correct? Or corrections?
