    Swing arm differences

    Looking to buy later model swing arm. (1989) Any difference in model years? Will the 1989 work on 2010? The only difference I see is where the axle bolt goes through on chain guard side, it has a raised collar on newer models. The older models are straight. Tx

    The newest bike that I have is a 2007 so I know that they are all the same from 1987 to 2007. I did not know that Yamaha changed the swingarm, anybody got any pics of what changed?

    I am interested in this topic since I am in the middle of modifying a couple of swing arms but am not seeing what the OP is describing. Picture please !!
    2016, stock'ish and a 2003 Starting on a 225 or bigger 6 speed build as a spare for now and install later when done and ready on this bike.
