    What's This?

    Some sort of hose with a plug on the end protruding from between the front of the gas tank and frame on the left side What is it?

    I'm not sure why I can't upload a photo as I have done before here. It's showing as an attachment. Anyway, the image is tack sharp on my computer when I click on the attachment. Are you sure you are not zoomed in too much on the image?

    Appears to be the line coming off the carb, it's supposed to be there, don't worry about it.

    Aww...come on...somebody must know what it is. I often wondered why they would make a funny 'billet' plug..all shiny and pretty....only to hide it behind the tank....well, mostly hidden.
    I looked at a bunch of parts fiches after the OP asked but darned if I can find it...in the tank pic, or carb, or frame.....

    Mine has it too, it looks like a vacuum line to nowhere that is plugged with a little billet aluminum plug. I bet it get used on Calif. emissions.

    It's a closed end tube that is supposed to equalize the intake pulses from the engine.

    I thought it was used as an expansion chamber for explosive gasses. Those gasses are then detonated when we depress the horn button after someone cuts us off in traffic.
