Went a little off road today. Got into water, but nothing I didn't manage before, less than a foot deep. Bike stalled and could not get it back running again. Had to push it for almost 2 miles. Not fun in almost 90 degree heat. Not sure what the problem is but have no spark. Fuse is ok, tried new spark plug with same result. Have it parked over night at a restaurant and hope it still will be there tomorrow. Is it possible the coil got wet or does anybody have a solution suggestion?

Does it crank over but not spark? Kickstand safety switch shorted? Kill switch not switched off? I know they are elementary things to check but I've seen people troubleshoot a bike extensively and eventually find a simple problem they overlooked at first.

The bike is cranking over, horn works, lights on etc, just no spark, tried a new plug with the same result.

You probably already did it but in case you haven't make sure the primary coil wire is plugged in and making good contact. Mine came loose and it was an easy fix.
Long live the internal combustion engine!

Thanks Tony, checked it. Had a mechanic look at it on the road, he thinks there is a good chance the CDI is fried. Don't know because the fuse is OK. Shouldn't the fuse protect the CDI? He will do some more testing later. Luckily his house is not far from where I had the bike parked over night and we pushed it there. Now it is sitting at his house on his porch. Will post his test result.
