Alright guys, I need a little help. I'm trying to get the needle valve seat out and it won't budge. I've tried three different pair of pliers. Removed the carb from the bike in order to get more leverage and that didn't work either. Any tips?

Also, the bike had the oil filter with 4 slots but NO holes. I've had it for 900 miles. What, if anything, has this done to the motor?

There are some ideas that did and didn't work in post #36 of this thread.

Thanks guys. I'll go get some acetone and ATF (automatic transmission fluid, correct?) this week and give it a try.

From what I can see in the picture, it's the right one. Be sure and open the bolt on the head to make sure oil is reaching the top.

I looked at that thread, that's why I wanted to make sure it was the right one. Mine looks a little different than the one in that thread. Also, my old one looks like the one in the other thread, with the flat mesh, but it doesn't have the four holes in it. My bikes been running fine, just hope nothing major is hiding inside the motor.

The pleated mesh is just a newer version as I understand it, but you want the four holes for sure, I hope you haven't suffered damage to you bike.

as long as you have the 4 holes you're good...the accordion mesh just provides a little more surface area for oil to flow through
