    Help with piston ring orientation

I'm in the process of replacing my base gasket, and whilst I'm in there I'm freshening up the top end.

I've got the manual, but the piston ring end-gap placement seems a bit vague. Can someone point me in the right direction please?

I'm happy with the end gaps, but which way is the cylinder facing? And where does the expander ring go?

This is what Wiseco encloses for their high compression piston. Did you upgrade or are you keeping it stock?

When I fitted mine I oriented them as per the diagram below so that the top ring was at the rear LEFT when viewed from the front of the bike. (edit: I originally typed right, I meant LEFT, although it would be rear right if sat on the bike looking down on it. )
    Hope that helps a little
