    Float Bowl Screw

    I want to replace my JIS float bowl screw with a stainless socket head. M4 x .7 x 14mm long???

    It's been a few years since I made the switch to the socket head screws, but I believe 14 mm will work, the one that holds the bracket for the idle adjustment cable may be a bit longer.

    The m5 screws are for the cover to the coaster circuit diaphragm.

    I used m4 14 without problems, but I recommend SS so they don't rust.

    Never had any sign of rust on the screws I originally used....that was all Lowe's had in stock at the time.

    Not long after, I changed to SS screws........

    Same here. And I did have a bit of rust, but not on the threads. Ten years later who knows? Cheap insurance against buggered carb bolts.
