Valve replacement any write ups out there with pictures?

Getting ready to do the dirty and replace the worn noisy valves on my 07’

I’ve read a few how to’s but they were pretty simple. Are there any out there with pics? A video would be nice! Maybe I’ll make one as I go if there’s not one already.

Tdubskid where you at? Haha jk man thank you for all you do to make life easier for us fellow t dubbas

My parts list looks like this right now at least until I get in there.

    New exhaust and intake valve
    New tappet screws x2
    New valve retainer clips x2
New gaskets head and base etc.
    New cam sprocket.
New exhaust bolts x2 (rusty as they come hopefully can get them off though)

I cant afford to he without transport so i have to take a shot at getting everything I need and pray I don’t find any problems as I go. We’re talking 1-2 weeks minimum to get stuff shipped out here.

I’m a little hesitant tearing it apart in the carport but I don’t have much choice and at least there’s a roof.

You can consult chapter 4 from the service manual.(Download from here if you don't have it already)
Sorry but I couldn't find anything else.

Thanks! That’s quite helpful indeed 🙂

I read you should replace the valve bushing and guide in the service manual but on a couple posts users have said no need.

The bushing is probably easy enough but the guide seems more involved.

I’m guessing it’s worth lapping the new valves too?

I wouldn't bother lapping brand new valves.
But since the engine is already apart would replace guide+bush to prevent future oil consumption.

How to replace the valve guide without all the fancy tools described in the manual?
