    Help with LED

So I have been replacing the bulbs in the instrument cluster with LEDs and ran into a problem.

The indicator light that blinks to tell you your directional is on will do nothing if it is a LED.

I thought replacing the flasher relay with a LED version would correct this but it has not.

Any idea what I need to do?

I think you might need one of these diodes?

This was the thread I used to wire my bike up with LED flashers...

I looked into this and read your post among others. This seems to be a fix if you are having issues with LED turn signals. I have read posts of people replacing this light with a LED but they never go into detail on how or what exactly they used.

Try reversing the bulb in the socket yet? Some of the LED's are polarity sensitive... and won't light if the + and - aren't in the right order. Since it's not separate bulbs for L & R, should only be an indicator, not tied into the signals. Worth a try....
It's never too late to be assimilated...

This particular bulb socket doesn't allow it. Here is a write up for using an LED indicator with conventional bulbs: https://www.tw200forum.com/forum/tec...cator-led.html
This is if you are using both LED bulbs, LED flasher relay, and an LED indicator: https://www.tw200forum.com/forum/tec...-bulbs%2A.html

Make sure if you are doing the diode fix in the second thread above, you are using rectifier diodes and not signal diodes. You'd probably be hard pressed to find a rectifier diode that won't work in this application as almost any you would use would be able to handle enough forward current to power the LED indicator. Signal diodes (which you don't want to use are generally much smaller and almost all of them have a clear casing on them)

Thank you. That first link is exactly what I need. After all my research that post never came up i'm not sure why.
