Just put one on today. It's one of the right angle type from Pro Cycle. Works pretty good.

Too easy not to do. +1 on the Cycle Pro filter. Run one for 1000 miles and you will see why it's important to have one!

Mine has one of these junkers on it.. the casing is actually 'rubbery' so it flexes a bit to make the curve.

I am generally anti-fuel filter and pro-clean-gas-tank with my motorcycles. Some of my high RPM carbureted bikes don't like fuel filters. It restricts fuel flow enough that you can use gas faster than the fuel bowls can stay full on the carbs (like if you're wringing out a parallel twin at 100mph and 11,000 RPM.)

I have not felt my TW200 become fuel starved even at 60mph and "a lot of" rpms, so I'm going to leave it there.

I presume the petcock has a filter screen on it?? Plus crud SHOULD stay in the bottom of the carb bowl. It'd be pretty rare to suck crud up into the pilot jet. And if you have crud big enough to plug up your main jet, you really need to clean your gas tank

I don't have a problem with any of my motorcycles using local gas. But maybe people get crud into their tanks worse than I do in different locations. My conclusion is that these fuel filters work on the TW and are easy to install. Like every other bike I own, I use Tygon fuel line because it's really flexible and I can see through it.

Just be aware that I've had problems with these filters on other bikes I've owned due to carb bowl starvation at high RPM. Running dry at high RPM is never good

The petcock does have a filter on the pick up tubes but they can sometimes come loose from the petcock. I prefer a clear fuel filter like ProCycle sells.
