The float bowl gasket (black rubber with two small built in donut holes) has an up and a down side!

My carbs always seeped a little, while my wifes did not.

I ordered a couple new ones since they a couple years old and replaced them today.

    You know what I found?

Mine was in upside down. The bottom of the o-ring is smooth, while the top side appears flat with a little

    ridge along the center.

    Just sharing.

    A good reminder, Igo.

I wish I could say someone else put my float bowl gasket in upside down. But it was me.

Yes, there are several tips that would be helpful in reassembling the carb but are not mentioned in the manual.
