I see that the xt225 is suitable for a Mikuni TM33-8012 Pumper Carb upgrade. What about the tw200? If not the Mikuni TM33-8012 Pumper Carb, then what other carb would be suitable?

The carb ain't really the problem.

I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

Powdercoated '87 frame, extended swingarm, YZ fork legs, ATV tire, 14/55, XT350 tank, spliced quick-release seat, disc brake conversion, beeg headlight, beeger rack, Lizrdcooler, Lizrdventz and bunch of other stuff all covered in invisible ink.

Is "The Problem" is that it is just a TW200, a bike outfitted with a motor that just isn't very suitable for extensive mods, and that I should be happy with rejetting, opening up intake and exhaust flow a bit, and perhaps just a little bit of cam work? Cuz if that is what it is, then I will humbly bow to my elders in this forum, and resist my habitual compulsion to over-modify...but maybe just a little bit would be ok.

LOL. You pretty much nailed it. Still, no reason not to experiment.

The TW hits a bottleneck once the fuel charge leaves the carb, and for that reason I think the stock carb would flow enough for even the most highly modified TW.

I do think a flatslide could have some value, but for the expense involved with that particular conversion I think it's overkill. I'd try to work with one of the dime-a-dozen 28mm Mikunis.
