They took rocks off the top years ago to build a dam. The dam is no longer here.

Across the road from the iron works.

I remember a house here about 40 years ago.

    Pea Ridge Iron ore mine

A new pipe line to the mine

    Along the way home.

The same lake that was ice covered after a week of warm south winds.

Nice pics, looks like a fun ride. I like exploring......even when I know a million people have been there before me <G>.

You seemed to have a nice ride. I too love seeing the old buildings and thinking of "what it must have been like". I also really enjoy the old "use too sites". Debandi on advrider has done a series of historical research rides, posting everything from old cemeteries, iron works, mines, railroads etc... You have a good start on the same thing. I like it! And yes indeed, it does appear your lake has now removed its winter coat. But still has the feathers, if you know what I mean!

Thanks so much for sharing a quick ride.
Hidden Content A ride in the woods helps me relax and release tension. The fact I'm dragging a body should be entirely irrelevant?

Exploring on the TW is so fun! Love the pics... Hope to do some more of that this season, too.
