Here are a few leftover clips off the editing room floor from a week ago when I rode over 8,700 ft Ebbetts Pass in the Central Sierras. Too many lens buggers for my taste...I need to remember to clean camera's lens more often.
Road had been open to the general public less than a week after about a five month winter closure and was already being enjoyed by more bikers mid-week than just me. All the sport bikes returned my wave of greeting. Saw only one "Adventure Bike"...a big bucks BMW with enough gear to make me believe he was on a legitimate journey. One out of maybe 9 V-Cruisers waved back. Can't say if I was beneath their contempt , or just maybe they had their hands full hog-wrestling.
The TW was a good bike for this ride, not scary fast yet versatile enough to off-road a bit. I felt fast enough most of the time and no one passed me. A handful of cars used turn-outs to politely let me by. A good ride.
