August has been a slow TW riding month.

Lately I've been doing alot of this...

And a whole lot less of this...

But, I've got a fever. And the only prescription is more [s]cow bell[/s], TW!

So, I went on a early morning ride in the Payette County Forest before I head off to work. Why do I have to work when riding and having fun is so much, err fun!

Early in the ride I met an unexpected obstacle. Irrigation drainage runoff. I ponder it a few seconds...turn around or proceed. I proceed.

Then I head under the freeway to find yet another water obstacle. Again I carefully continue on.

Rode by a range fire burn which came about 1/2 mile as the crow flies from our house. Grasshoppers galore too!

Morning ride coming to and end, but not before I can practice riding on my single track training path.

Here's a short non-quality video of my prescription ride.

Now that is one dense forest! Actually I enjoyed your ride pictures and the video.

My ride to work is not nearly that interesting. I do find my self taking the long way home sometimes just because I am enjoying the ride. I never take the long way home in the car .

Glad you all enjoyed my short morning ride. I love to make fun of the "treeless" Payette County, have made references to it in the past, and probably will again in the future. I'm guessing the Payette County Arbor Foundation ain't gonna invite me as a guest speaker anytime soon. And gosh, I'm so close to the self-proclaimed "City of Trees" (Boise-40 miles).

Anyway, glad you enjoyed. Wish the camera would have picked up the grasshoppers better. They ate all my garden last year, and a good part of it again this year.

Thanks. Beats the hairbrained grasshopper getting-rid-of-idea I was contemplating!
