Some pictures from the past couple of weekends riding around Hawley Mtn. and Sturgil Peak lookouts.

Wife ready to go with Yogie Bear picnic basket.

Closeup of camp. Sleeping in back of truck. Made a bed that slips in back a couple years ago for these types of trips.

Another view of camp. Wife still sleeping while I walk around with a cup of coffee soaking up the morning sun.

TW parked at old miners cabin where we are going to eat supper.

Wife arriving at old miners cabin with din-din.

    Old miners cabin.

Parked the TW and ATV and walked down to an interesting viewpoint.

Wife and George heading to the point.

George leading the way, as usual.

Sunset ride to Hawley Mtn. L.O. Found geocache here too, but took no pictures.

    Sunset views from Hawley L.O.

View of Nampa Idaho at night with Lake Lowell in background.

    End of the days ride.

Looking for another geocache at Sturgil Peak L.O.

View of nearby peak from Sturgil L.O.

George helps me find the cache.

Lookout guy gives us tour of inside of lookout. Fire direction and locate finder in center of lookout. Oh, and it was 45 degrees outside

and he had the fire going inside the lookout. Nice and warm we are!

Lookout shows us how they triangulate fires with other lookouts from drop down map.

The lookout was very friendly and informative. He was a great guy for showing us around. He let George in also.

Liked the campfire. Seems a campfire is always a pretty special way of 'saying' we had a great day. Gerry
