My cousin Greg and I rode some fairly challenging trails in Western Oregon, in the coast range mountains. It's nice as these trails are only a little over an hour from home... but we still trailer up there since the trails are technical enough that riding home after a long day would just be tough.

The areas we rode are referred to as Willamina, Upper Nestucca, and Trask. You can google / youtube them for more info.

The T-dub got some interest from the hardcore guys riding KTM's, Husky's and full-on dirt-bikes. Some appreciated the massive range since their fuel tanks are typically small. We rode around 80 miles or so. It's very handy to have a dual sport in this area since you can hop onto roads and get to further areas without being restricted to just dirt and gravel roads.

I'm still working on flipping the GoPro videos since they were recorded upside down.

So, I only have a few pics. The hole area is full of hill climbs, winding trails, and just tons of technical stuff. So getting pics isn't easy, especially when you're riding and having fun.

My cousin Greg went down early and got some mud coloring:

This was sooo much steeper than it looks

Greg tried the hill, kinda flew off the trail and was stuck. I passed him up, but one of my carb vent tubes got plugged with mud (I found later) and was causing intermittent stalls. So this is me looking down at him as he's about to have his DRZ fall on him!

This is looking up at my bike after rushing down to help Greg. My bike is leaning against the hill, sitting almost perfectly straight up. That's how steep this mountain top trail is!

It's interesting to see the difference in seat height between those two bikes. Amazing ride on some beautiful, and technical trails. Looks like you had fun. I look forward to seeing the video. Thanks!
    My handle is B-dub, I ride a T-dub, and drive a V-dub.

Wow, looks like some very challenging trails/ruts. I'm with ya on trailering to your riding spot even though you could ride there. Its nice to have your truck/trailer there so if you have a mechanical failure you can't fix that you can tow/hobble/push it back to vehicle and still get home. You have a problem when you ride there and your screwed and would have to wait for someone to come get you. You could totally trash a tire and still ride it back to truck but no vehicle and your toast. Alot of my riding spots don't have cell coverage. The other nice thing is having some cold ones waiting for you in your ice chest. Enjoying a cold one (soda...lol) while you drive back home and talk about your adventure is fun.......

That looks like some fun country. I am envious that there may be little if any dust to contend with.
