On to Summers Grave...Oops, got stopped here. I could have gotten the TW around it, but the picture doesn't show how steep and slippery the snow drift is. No way around it either...so we hiked the last half mile.
Getting close. The unexpected...Summers Grave Rental Cabin. It is no longer available since 2007 due to low rental usage. Cabin was not locked and had all the stuff still inside (camp stove, eating and cooking utensils, beds).
Jim Summers Grave Site. Born in KY, died here in 1893. Summers-Namesake for the Cabin and Cache name. I noticed from some online articles such as High School Graduations, there have been quite a few people in the nearby town of Council, ID, with the last name of Summers. I wonder if they are descentants.
