    Saturday, October 27th at 10am.

Meet at Mt. Misery Campground, Pachaug State Forest, Voluntown Ct.

In conjuction with the Halloween Pachaug Camp & Ride.

Free camping! Big Fires! Good Folks!

There is a Friday ride to the Cider Mill if you arrive early.

Plenty of riding for riders of all abilities and interests.

If you have been saying you'd like to ride Pachaug, this is your big opportunity!

If you'd just like to cruise some scenic backroads...they don't get any better than October in SE New England!

If you think we'll ride too fast...hey, we're on TW's!!!

If you think we'll ride too slow...we'll introduce you to Rockpile!!

I'm hoping for a good turn out this time. What are the chances we'll get snow twice?

So far, the usual suspects are on board:

    Turtledub

    Rhode Trip

    Mrs. Trip

    Mr. Zannini

    Stromper's a maybe

    You should be there too!!!

"Me and Mrs Trip, we got a thing going on"... an on-going adventure...

and on Nov 9-11 there is another bike oriented camp out, same place. Clubs like New England Moto Guzzi, Conneticut River Valley BMW, Deadhorse M/C, and others. any brand, cars ok too, weather can be iffy. bring yur own grub, there will be propane stove available for cooking and there will be firewood. No alcohol at Mt Misery now so be very discrete.

its called 'Misery loves company', like I mentioned just a general motorcycle camp out

    Misery Loves Company Too

    November 9-11, 2012

    Mt Misery Campground Voluntown, CT

The second annual Misery Loves Company campout will be November 9-11, 2012 at the Mt Misery Campground in Voluntown, CT. The same location as the past several years. The attempt to move the location to the boy scout camp failed . . . maybe next year.

For this year, Mt Misery has gone alcohol free full time. No alcohol allowed at all . . . . so use discretion. It is still free camping, and the endless firewood (or close to it) is already set up for delivery on Friday afternoon. Dry shelters will be set up as in years past in case of any wet weather.

Your only cost will be the gas to get there and whatever you bring for food. As always, bring snacks to share. A 2 burner propane stove will be available for use all weekend.

Please pass this on to anyone you know that might be interested in attending. Motorcycles and camping are the draw, but is open to all. Even cars are always welcome. Years past have had people from CRV, Yankee Beemers, Ocean State Riders, Party Riders, Dead Horse, and many others. Know them or have contacts with other clubs? Let them know!

RSVP to "cfdad @ comcast dot net" is requested for a rough head count. Hopefully I will get my wife to provide dinner for Friday night again.

Your information is not correct. After September 3, 2012, alcohol is allowed in the campground.

    Discretion is still appreciated.

Friday afternoon around 2pm there will be a ride to Clyde's Cider Mill for hard cider...they have a variety of types to choose from. It's the only steam powered cider mill still in operation.

On the 27th, we'll be doing an easy to moderate TW-specific ride on some roads, trails and track.

I have not finalized a route yet, but figure about 75 miles.

Any bike is welcome to join us.

There will also be lots of folks riding the enduro loop if you are looking for more of a challenge.

The south loop was a little damp last Sunday...we'll be looking for drier riding...Mrs. Trip's orders!

Thanks to everyone who turned out! Stromper, Mrs. Trip, Turtledub, Rockpile, and Mr. Zannini on his new DRZ. Had a good run down to Clyde's Cider Mill on Friday for some libations, and a fun run around the area on Saturday.

Here's a shot from Saturday morning of some of the bikes before the Camp & Ride broke up into a few groups:
