    Got out there!

The warm storm that came thru melted the snow to about 6500ft, i was able to do about 60 miles out in the foothills of the Sierra.. plenty of LARGE puddles, many you had to ride thru because they were from treeline to treeline, plenty of mud. .good times!
Found the Ford wreck at least 7 miles from any remote road, the windshield appeared to be broken from the inside. Sure there is an interesting story behind this.
The views were flat out heavenly. It was warm, balmy with cool breeze. Reminded me of spring in Upstate NY as a kid. Love Dub riding! I used to get out in the woods in my quad. But it was so much more involved, with loading staging, having to go back to where you started etc. On the Dub just turn the key, go in the woods one place come out another and keep going :-) Gotta love it.
Looking forward to a lot of dirt this year!

Don't drink the water straight from the puddle I say. Looks like chocolate milk.

Hidden Content A ride in the woods helps me relax and release tension. The fact I'm dragging a body should be entirely irrelevant?

Years ago my friends and I found a new Caddy way back in the woods. Neither we nor the police officer could figure out how it got there.

Don, we gotta go ride more! Remember Boarder225 from the Sweetwater ride? He is anxious to get out, rides XT255 from the Bay Area and seeks a foothill experience. He mentioned Hell's Half Acre off HWY 4 but open passes over Sierras are limited to HWY 50 and HWY 80 for me. Interested in an early May weekend outing?

I am going on my Victory with a group to Monument Valley from the 1st thru the 10th of May - a couple days after I get back, I'll be ready to get out in the woods for sure! And I agree - we definitely need to ride more!

And yes I remember Dale, good guy and rider!

I won't be getting out very far for a while now.....it's been snowing a lot - prob 5 to 8 inches down to 4500ft...... We need the snow, but I need the dirt!
