I was able to get alittle jump on the weekend and decided to ride up the hill towards the cabin to see how far I could get before the road was blocked with snow.....made it to about 8800'. The cabin sits at 9300'

First off a big thanks to "Placerlode" for selling me this Versahaul! made getting to the trail head much easier not having to take the shell off my truck every time. The TW rode like a champ and to be honest forgot it was even back there.

The little streams all over the mountain were showing that the run off is still ongoing!

Still a lot of deadfall blocking the trails from the winter collapses.

I ran into the first of the snow at about 8300'

The higher on the mountain I climbed, the deeper the snow became.

Finally, about 1.5 miles from the cabin, I could go no further.

Finally, I had to try and get a shot of my "TW Club" gear.

It was a great day out on the trails, couple of more weeks and the whole mountain will be open and available.

Thanks for the ride report. Looks like a neat area. How far is this area from Salt Lake City?

Those VersaHauls are great carriers, but they sure are heavy.

You should have strapped on a pair of snowshoes for the last 1.5 miles and gotten a good workout too.

Cool, in more ways than one! Nice rig, well setup for hauling the TW. Looks like you'll have some beautiful places to ride from the cabin this summer. Thanks for the pics!
    My handle is B-dub, I ride a T-dub, and drive a V-dub.

Nice little trip report. I don't know if it was my mood or what, but as I was reading and looking at the pics, I kept thinking, God I wish I was there too! Thanks for the little adventure. Oh yea, do you rent the cabin? LD

TW-Brian - this is approx. 4 hours south of SLC - Monroe Mountain area.

The VersaHaul is a heavy beast for sure. I went with this option as I wanted to be able to pull my tent trailer at the same time, and the VersaHaul allows this.

I was a good day/afternoon of riding for sure! the clouds and weather rolled in and chased me off the mountain. No rentals on the cabin being offered as of yet ....it is a work in progress, approx. 90% completed.

Looks like a really great place to ride...and for a cabin. Pretty too! Hopefully you don't get a ton of traffic up there when the snow's all gone! Looks peaceful to me!
Hidden Content A ride in the woods helps me relax and release tension. The fact I'm dragging a body should be entirely irrelevant?
