    Pahvant ATV Trail system.

I've been spending some time recently exploring some of the sights above Fillmore, Utah. I'll continue to add pictures as time and opportunities permit.
    Chalk Creek Hieroglyphics.

Map rock. If you look carefully at the top just right of center you can see a groove that has been carved into rock. There are several other grooves that shoot off main one. Each ending at the supposed location of buried treasure.

That's some cool heiroglyphics, the likes of which I"ve never seen. Interesting information you posted as well. I really like the pic of the steam engine; I've never seen one that complete, and to find it out in the boonies is pretty awesome. When I worked for a short time in Fillmore years ago, there was some talk of an old Spanish mine northeast of town. I never did take the time to check it out, though. Your bike looks great, and it looks like you had a very enjoyable ride. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Tried to find another steam engine that is supposed to be in even better shape and more complete. Trail was closed after a short distance. Might have to do some hiking to get to it.
Here's a rock formation called the Devil's Armchair.

Hidden Content A ride in the woods helps me relax and release tension. The fact I'm dragging a body should be entirely irrelevant?

You're seeing lots of cool stuff.

This looks like a variation of a "Steam Donkey" or steam power winch. Used mostly in logging, but mining too!

Got some more info on other steam engine yesterday. Apparantly we should've have taken a side road off the one that was closed. Also was told that it's not a steam operated. An airplane engine of some sort. I'll try and get back over this coming weekend with the girlfriend.
