***SOLD***1989 Smurf Blue TW200 for sale in Marietta, OH

I picked this up at the end of last summer thinking that wife would like it. Well, she likes scooters better. And I don't really need a 4th bike.
I am the third owner. The guy I bought it from rode it back and forth to work for several years. I cleaned the carb, adjusted the valves, replaced the tires, added inexpensive hand guards, and have just rode it. The plastic is a little "chalky", I cleaned most of it up with fine steel wool and PlasticX, but it could use another round to make it look really good. The bike is far from perfect, it has a couple of dings in the tank, a few scratches, and other misc. small imperfections, it is a used dual sport bike. The seat has a seam that is starting to go, I put a little grey gasket maker on it hoping that will glue it together. It has larger ebay pegs, I also still have the tiny stock ones. Regardless of the cosmetic imperfections, it runs well and shifts well. The brakes work as they should. It has a Trailwing on the back ($$) and a Shinko 244 on the front. I sanded and painted the stock handlebar with truck bed liner because it was showing its age.The sprockets and chain are about sacked, they are not to the point of slipping, but worn. I have new ones in stock sizes on the shelf, I will likely swap them and change oil this weekend. Its a 1989 so it has drum brakes, a kick starter, and no trip meter. The bike has just under 5700 miles on the odo. However, in being 100% honest, I transferred it from WV to OH and the "Exact mileage unknown" box is checked on the title. The lady at the title office claimed that was not unusual for a bike of that age with that few of miles. I didn't worry about it, the bike still had the original (but bald) tires on it when I picked it up. I would ride the bike anywhere (at 55 mph ) after changing the chain and sprockets. I would like to get $1200 out of it.

I actually had a Rupp Ruppster that I rebuilt several years (maybe 15) ago. That was my first experience with forums, I chose Ruppster as a user name and have used it ever since. I ended up putting a Honda 185s three wheeler drive train in the Ruppster and a roll bar on it. It went about the same as a TW200 speed wise, not having reverse was a big mistake.

My 7 y.o. daughter calls the TW Smurf blue, I've saw a few others reference the blue as such, seems fitting.

I do believe those were the two choices for 1989.

My buddy had a Rupp mini-bike. I'm pretty sure the model was a Ruppster, I thought that's where you got your name.

Bet it was a Roadster. Rupp Mfg. was in Mansfield, OH so there are often barn finds in this area.

That thing was pretty fast for a mini-bike, because it had a torque convertor. That 4-wheeler is cool. I never saw one before.
