    ***SOLD***FS: 1988 TW200 in Southern AZ

    Hey guys and gals,

I've been a big fan of TW's since I was a kid. I picked up this 1988 from a local here in Tucson last year with the intention of using it to get my motorcycle endorsement. It ran but had been sitting for a while when I bought it, so I took it to a bike shop and had the valves/compression checked and the carb rebuilt/tuned.

I work around 80 hours a week with irregular hours and call shifts and unfortunately I never got around to getting my endorsement and the bike has been sitting in my garage for that past year. I'm moving to the PNW soon and I'm not going to have room in the moving truck to take it with me so I'm offering it up for sale.

Stock 1988 TW200. Title in hand.

    The bad:
    The seat needs recovering
Dent in the tank but no rust inside
Could probably could use a new chain
Plastic is faded but not cracked or broken

    The good:
Tuned up summer 2013- carb rebuild, valves/compression checked.
Ran strong after rebuild, mainly on dirt roads around my house before I parked it last fall.
    Clean title

$800 OBO. I'm motivated to sell it because I can't take it with me, but please no low ball offers.

    Sorry for your loss Or
Get a moving truck with a hitch and buy, borrow, or steal a hitch carrier.

That's the best year in my opinion for color anyway.

$800 is a fair deal for sure! You really should try to take it with you if there's any way, they don't come around that cheap very often.

    My favorite color scheme.

That would be the perfect bike for the PNW.

Try to take it with you, if possible.

    Sold... ;(

Thanks for the encouragement, I wish I could have kept it but we are chuck full and there's no way we can afford two moving trucks. We have to move to an expensive city, going from $1000/mo 1400sqft house in Tucson to a $1500/mo 600sqft apartment with no garage and we have to pay for street parking WTF? But it will only be for a year. After that I'll have a real job, my own house and a garage to store some T-dubs.

I lost about $100-150 because I sold it for $580. But I had to cut my losses as I don't have time to meet and show it very often and time is running out.

I have a 1985 Big Wheel 200 up in ID at my in-laws place to put around on. I just need to rebuild the carb and get it running. Not as street friendly as a TW, but I never intended to do much street riding anyway. I'll probably buy a couple newer low mile T-dubs in the next couple years. I need to get the Mrs out riding and the T-dub seems like a good beginner bike.
