*WTB* Black Fender and Side Panels

    Hello,
I just picked up an '02 TW and was looking for a few things. Black fenders, side panels and or all plastics for now. Let me know if anyone happens to have some left over from a custom job or something. Thanks!

You can also order from OEM parts supplier. I think one of the years had black plastic side panels, no? Maybe.

Otherwise spray-painting - just have to use the right stuff so that the solvent won't 'attack' the plastic. Use a strontium chromate primer (you guys should get that over there as well), and then something like a polyacrythane (acrylic/urethane dual copolymer) top coat ... that stuff is tough! It was (and maybe still is) used to spray-paint aircraft, also used to re-enamel bathtubs in situ. It's what I will be using on my TW once I'm ready to tackle the rebuild.
