Not TW for sale, 1980 Harley Sportster for under $3k

    OK guys,
Im keeping my TWs and parting with me 1980 Sportster,
Its clean and too loud for me,
Its a basic 1000cc iron head engine with 17K miles which runs well and has no real issues,
    Clean machine.
Runs well and starts easy every time,
    Heres a walk around

If you own a TW and are on this forum, the price to you is $2700.
Im asking $2999 on CL in Philadelphia and wont budge much for CL buyers,
I may do a partial trade for an orange seat rainbow warrior.
Heres the CL post as well.
    https://philadelphia.craigslist.org/mcy/5657457627.html
    and heres a quick pic,
    hd5 (2).jpg
Its a good solid runner which you can ride home and it will do more than 70,
but not as classy as a TW.
Just louder with a lower seat height and worse fuel mileage.
If you interested , Please PM me,
Thanks Tommy for letting me post this !

The sportsters dont go for a whole lot, The shifter on right models even less which this one IS NOT.
    Plus I am not greedy.
Its a solid bike and in my mind this is whats its worth in real life.

I've owned many sporties. All are worth 3k at least. Nice model there.

Sorry you are so far away.

I'm done with loud bikes. Done.

I have a Harley Heritage for sale and that will be the last of loud bikes for me. My next Harley will be a new Street Bob and I'm leaving the exhaust to heck alone.
I'm older now and don't like the noise.

I want peace and quiet and I'm going to allow my friends and neighbors to enjoy theirs as well. Thank you Jesus.

This sporty has open pipes and it was like that when I bought it a couple years ago. Wound up running my 99 Buell a lot more and didnt get much time with the sporty as I would have put some quiet pipes on it,
I think its good price where I wont have to deal with too many CL contestants before it sells.

    It's a nice, classy old-school.

I never got the Harley bug; but that would be a draw. A true Harley yet different - today's pirates wouldn't know what to make of the chain drive or the AMF logo on it.

I'm moving in the opposite direction - I'm riding my Zero all over the region and loving it. Fast and light and SILENT.
