I noticed you have the hitch mount picture with the smaller rack.

I'm having trouble getting mine on a hitch rack with a jeep tire on the back if the larger cyclerack is installed. Do you have the same trouble?

    Hello Larry,

I do not have a problem with the Joe Hauler Rack on the back of my Jeep. I lucked out in that Joe Hauler Rack's are built in my town. So I actually went down there and tested them out before I purchased the rack. This particular one has an extended receiver sleeve. I just went out and measured it and it is 26" from dead center of the hitch pin to the middle of the tray. The guys at Joe Hauler also traded out the loading ramp to one of there wide models. This allows the bike to roll up the ramp freely. I will say that even with the 26" I am very close at the handlebar end next to the tire. But then again my tire on this Jeep is a 315/75/16. That is close to 13" deep. Hopefully something in this rambling will help you out.

Can you add a photo of how you mounted the Pelican case to your Cyclerack?

    Thanks,

    Mark

Well I will give credit to the original owner. He simply drilled 8 small holes in the bottom of the Pelican box. It is attached with 4 heavy duty zip ties. This is not really my style but it has worked. I think two aluminum pieces of flat stock per side sandwiched between the Pelican and the rack would sound better. If it's not broke, why fix it. I do carry a few extra zip ties just in case. At the present moment it is kind of like a break away system if I were to lay the motorcycle down.

    Good question!
