After 12K miles, my rear stock tire is getting long in the tooth (and short of tread block). Any one have a low mileage rear tire. Thanks.

My TW is a 2005. I bought it used with 1000 miles and the original tires on it. After the first ride(I am a trailrider) I determined that the front tire was in bad need of being changed to one that would stick better in the corners and not wash out so easily; I put on a Kenda K760 Trak Master 110/100-18 and it has done exactly what I needed to Ride most off road terrain here in Southern Idaho.

At first I was a little skeptical about the rear tire because early this Spring, when there was a bit of mud about, this tire seem to load up to easy. I solved that problem; stay out of the mud. Since that first experience I have put on another 500 miles on trails and found the stock tire to be an excellent tool for my needs. When the time comes, I will probably get another just like it unless I am convinced that a different one is even a better choice.

Ron, I'm with you, I bagged my stock front right away and could not be happier with the Shinko 244 up front. Went with the 5.10 wide version and it is brilliant. Stock rear is Okay.

If you want a new one, they are on sale for $96 on Bike Bandit right now. Or I'd be happy to sell you mine, which has roughly 50% tread (I can have a look at it again to confirm this if you're interested), for $25 plus shipping. For a total of $30 plus shipping, I'd throw in my front tire with about 10 percent tread if you want it. Let me know, thanks.
    KJ, just KJ, ok.

Thanks for letting us know. Let me know if you need anything else, as I have quite a few other parts left from my 07 part out TW.
