sS, as a service to all interested parties, I copied your info from the other thread to this ad. Good luck on your sale. If you lived closer . . . oh, well.

The speedo is a trailtech vapor. It also has the big footpegs and a ricochet bashplate. Airbox removed and replaced with a K&N.

First, when you hit your head hard enough wiping out in the dirt, you dont really think too straight. The tranny is actually just fine, is NOT locked up and shifts like it should. I was able to go out with some tools (which I didnt need) and ride ol' Sally out of the woods. I had gone into a rut (or grazed a stump or something) that knocked the chain off, which then locked up. As a result, the clutch plates may need tightening, but are probably fine because they are fairly new (as is the gasket on both sides of the crankcase). Thank the genius who invented the wet clutch for that. Im also really REALLY glad that didnt happen at considerable speed. Let that be a warning to people who DONT tighten their chains (because I DO, and it STILL managed to happen.

Second, both rear turn signals are busted but they were not stock anyway. The rear brake light is good and is a wally world buy; round tailight that shines onto the license plate.

Third, the rear drum brake is probably the same one it came with in '89 and needs to be replaced. The front brakes are just fine though.

Fourth, there are no mirrors, and both parts the mirrors screw into need replacing.

Fifth, I have not looked, but it is possible the chain sustained a little damage from locking up. Although, I was hardly puttering along when it came off. It's worth mentioning that the chain and both sprockets are also fairly new. I put them on about a year ago so the chain is not stretched out.

Sixth, As mentioned, the exhause manifold pipe is BUSTED and there is considerable rust, so I will get back on how it goes removing it.

Seventh, THE ENGINE IS A-OK!! She started right up; the girl's always been good and faithful to me. Starter is good, works every time so long as my startup procedure is followed. For your reference is goes like this: Bike in Neutral, Full Choke, Squeeze Clutch, Kick Starter (YEP IS HAS ONE AND IT WORKS!) 5 Times, THEN Run Switch ON, Press Start and PRESTO! Adjust Choke as needed and warm that baby up!

Eighth, there IS a good dent in the gas tank, as well as some visible rust on the inside; and the petcock needs replacing.

Ninth, the horn is AWESOME! It's an extra loud Wolo I got from Advance Auto Parts.

Tenth, she needs fork boots and the front fender is NOT stock, it's a universal UFO that I mounted up high.

I think that is it? All told, it's a pretty good project for someone with the money or desire to fix her up. Her guts are reliable. She just needs some lovin on the outside to pretty her up.

LIke I Said I am in Brattleboro,VT and am open to any and all negotiations for the bike as a whole and WILL consider parting her out but my desire to do that is pretty low at the moment. I mostly wish to sell it outright. I have the original title (somewhere) but she is so old that no DMV, RMV, whatever, will issue you a new one. It would be a Bill of Sale transaction.

    About the tires:

The front is good, the rear is ok but could be replaced.

    Left control switches:

The original stock ones were worn and shorted when I bought it so I replaced it with one from a completely different model bike bought off ebay. It works perfectly fine.

    Cables:

Clutch cable was replaced a year ago, brake cable was done about 2 years ago, still doing great. Did the front brakes at he same time as well.

All told: She's an old gal. She's a reliable bike though. I just cant afford to keep it up at this point.

My asking price is 600$ I initially paid 1200$ for it plus repairs to get it running and street legal again.

I live in Hinsdale right next to you. I'd be interested in some things if you part it out. I have a 91 to do over and I need a tank even if it's dented.

Gave Sally a real good scrub today!

Please disregard the grime in the pics, will add new ones tomorrow.

    Any takers yet?

The price is firm, 600$. She runs great and starts every time.

Just needs a new (or used) exhaust manifold and you could ride it all the way home!

Take that thing up to your nearest highschool and sell it in the parking lot. That thing looks like it needs ALOT of love.

Dont be a troll, it got a lot of love today.

I took it apart and spent all day scrubbing it down and put it back together.

There will be new pics when the sun comes up again.

The work it needs is perfectly reasonsable for a bike that is 22 years old.

Parts get old and they weaken over time. The good news is that the engine

has been taken care of and runs like a charm. I rode this bike everywhere

and it's never actually broken down.
