    Wanted OEM Muffler Clamp(s)

I need a few OEM TW muffler clamps, yes the ones that are spot welded on (one aprx 3/16" spot weld)

I've picked up a few stock mufflers that are mint condition I need for my older TW's

The sellers failed to mention they had removed the welded on factory clamp so it was a pleasant surprise when I received them and the part is not available w/o buying the entire muffler assembly

The people who owned these took them off and put an FMF or DG pipe on their TW and they thought they needed to have a clamp where the muffler meets the header pipe. The aftermarket pipes are much lighter than the stock pipe and they slip fit tightly over the stock header with no gasket and really don't need any clamp

If anyone has a smashed pipe they are not going to use I'd like to make a deal on the OEM clamp, I don't need the bolt etc just drill out the one small spot weld and they slip right off.

Right now I have 3 mint pipes needing clamps and I guess I should find an aftermarket clamp but I thought I'd see if anybody has a stack of dead mufflers in their junk pile

    Thanks in advance !

I didnít see much action on this thread, Fred. I guess the clamps are few and far between. Mine was rotted off my muffler and hopefully there is enough metal to last for awhile. I had to use a hose clamp which started to jump teeth when I tried to get it good and tight.

Do we have any other clamp options?

I thought there might be some damaged pipes out there but maybe I'm the only one with a pile of old take off mufflers

I have some dented pipes but they are still low mile rust free so I hate to wreck them just for a clamp

any clamp would work in fact I bet they would be fine with no clamp

I'm not in a big hurry maybe something will turn up

And you're right I bet there are clamps in a catalog somewhere that are identical

I'm at work right now, so cant take a look, but i have a ttr225 and xt225 that i'm using mainly for my 225 build. I can take a look tonight and see if they have the same style clamp as the TW.

Do a search for MIKALOR clamps, they look similar to an oem clamp. They are available in stainless and are very good quality.

I started looking at those T-bar clamps and they really do look perfect for the job and they are stainless on top of that. I'm going to try one of these marine clamps that are constant torque although they are probably overkill.
