    Looking for new tires

I just bought a tw and I want to replace the old tires and would like some advise on what to get. I will be riding on the street some but a lot of the time I will be riding on sand any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new ride! For the front the favorite around here is the Skinko 241 which I installed and I've been very pleased with it, most members consider the original tire as being only good on the street Not many choices for the rear although the original standard Bridgestone TW34 does get a decent approval rating. Any other choices for the rear involve mounting a ATV tire which many members have done but it is not an easy job to accomplish.

And if you just go for a stock rear get it off Amazon or something. They are like $110 there. But the Yamaha dealer tried to stick me for $190 for one rear tire. Not installed.
Some of the other online moto parts stores may have good prices as well.

Future mods: Ricochet skidplate, ATV tire for snow next winter, maybe a ManRacks front rack over the headlight.

Be aware that all the knobbies are noisy on the road and have less traction in wet conditions than a smoother road tire because of a lessor contact area. If you search for tires online most sites will usually have some indication of what the tire type and tread design is best suited for and many will suit your purpose. You do not need a really aggressive tire for your riding.
The suggestions you get on here will all be good but will be as varied as "what is the best oil to use for my TW".
