Do you have a key to the lock on the can bracket......or can you just latch it without a key?

I think that is a helmet lock, not a gas can lock. The gas can bracket latch should be independent of the lock.

Edit: I stand corrected! The lock is for the latch and a helmet, but this one appears to have the latch unlocked. Good if Allan can find the key, though!
