GLWS! Would you consider selling your stock seat?
Bike looks great and has been garage kept since new, and it shows.
Only 1,590 original miles.
All of the following parts have been installed in the last 3 months:
Trail Tech computer, the top of the line Voyager with GPS and altitude
New battery, rubber hoses and fuel filter.
Shinko 244 Golden Boy
TCI skidplate and engine guards
Cycleracks, front and rear
RotoPax gas can, water can, and mounts for Cycleracks
Rack bag for rear rack (big enough for sweatshirt, lunch, water bottles and more)
IMS Pegs (I also have the stock ones)
New folding shifter, I think it's IMS (I also have the stock one)
Seat Concepts seat (and I have the original seat and pan too)
Shortened stock rear blinkers (custom, came out awesome, looks stock)
Upgraded grips from ProCycle
Rear LED from ProCycle
Fresh oil change with Castrol Actevo X Tra 4T synthetic 10w40
Spare new chain
Spare new rear tube
And something nobody else has: a personalized license plate from the California DMV that reads TW2OO
Bike is located in Santa Barbara.
Basically, I found this bike with 750 original miles on it and fell in love with it. I then poured over $2000 into upgraded parts into it thinking I'd have it for 20 years. I camp at over 10,000ft every year and it was then that I realized I needed fuel injection. After having everything installed, I have over $5k into this and I hate to see it go. My loss is your gain.
It's at the dealer right now getting a tune up as well. This is truly a great bike with brand new great upgrades that's freshly tuned and ready to go.

I added photos a few minutes ago so they should now be in my original post...Refresh the page if you don't see them.
If you do end up splitting it up I would be interested in the tci skidplate/guards!

Nice bike and nicely accessorized!
I would sell it as a complete package for as close to your price as you can get with all the original take off parts in a box.
it makes no sense to un do all the nice work you have done in dialing this one in.
With everything you have done to it, have you looked into converting it to fuel injection?
Small Engine Fuel Injection Kit - Small Engine EFI conversion kit
With what you've already put out, $400 doesn't seem like a whole lot more. When you install it "closed loop", it'll keep you air/fuel ratio where it should be. I've also heard they have great customer service but don't quote me on that.
Also note, at 10,000ft; you're going to lose a BUNCH of power regardless of what you ride.
I'm thinkin' of being the guinea pig after I've done most of the farkles that you've done (will be quite some time from now).
I'm sure we'd all love to stand around and scavage all your farkles/miscellaneous parts until you're looking at a few bolts and random pieces. Since you fell in love with the bike, it doesn't cost you anything other than taxes to keep it. You've already poured way more into it than you'll ever get back. To be honest, here in SW Florida all I have are flat straight roads and NO area yet to offroad. I love it for the fuel economy, lightweight, low seat height, flickable-grin factor and especially just looks.
If you put it on ebay and figure out the shipping to Florida along with some kind of statement from the dealer as to it's mechanical shape and take all your farkles off to sell separately you will get $2900 or more. Most VERY used 2001+ TWs here go for the $2500-3000 range bone stock. I'm sure most everyone here would give 50-75% retail on your extras. I drove 6hrs one way in a 79 CJ7 with the top off, backseat and passenger seat removed so I could cram my new to me $1900 rusty muffler, neglected TW(2003) in there getting sun burned then soaked to get mine home. Been happy with it since.
Hi guys. I sold the bike. Just wanted to let y'all know. I got $2900 from the first person that looked at it. This forum was awesome in helping me get the it all dialed in, thanks for all the advice. I just didn't want to spend money on adding fuel injection.I just bought a used 2013 Honda CRF250L with 800 miles for $3,900. I do miss the Tdub though...
Man, where were you a couple weeks ago? I coulda used a deal like that.
