    1987 TW200 Custom

Hey guy's. I've been an owner of my tw200 for 10 years now. It was my first bike at 16 and of course I ripped it apart and rebuilt everything possible whilst managing to spend lots of $$$ in the process. Thanks for all the help and information over the years. Here is the finished product. Bellow is a discription of all the work done.

Sand blasted, metallic blue acrylic paint job, all bearings front back, top to bottom. Chain and sprockets geared for higher speed on the road, fmf power core exhaust, tw-201 city slick. , levers, l.e.d turn signals front and back. L.e.d relay. zx 10 tail light. Fork seals and oil, battery, new jets, needle and seat. Tapered steering stem bearings. OEM cam chain, top end gaskets and valves re-seated. Clutch cable and throttle cables. MULES magnetic drain plug, wider larger foot pegs. Super moto fx front head light and fairing. All engine bolts replaced with stainless steel hex head cap screws. Grips and mirrors. Red seat cover. Harley Davidson crinkle coat and polished air cooling fins.

That looks great. I like the headlight set up. I'd like to know more about the Harley Davidson "Crinkle Coat" and maybe see some more pictures of it. TWs Rock!

The harley davidson crinkle coat is something I found in a custom built bike shop in an airsol can. The idea is that as the paint dries, it crinkles into a really intricate design. However it was a bad choice because only half of the application crinkled. The other mistake there was that dirt and mud gets caught in the valleys of the ceinkles and holds on tight. There were other mistakes made such as misunderstanding the guy at the paint store and not putting any hardener in the paint before application. 10 years later its still not hard yet
