    Hers & His TW/XT

Just moved to Colorado and with all of the amazing places to explore by moto it seemed irresponsible to not pick up some bikes!

bikes look great, but looks like the tdub already took a small tumble... it's missing its right fork reflector.

    welcome to the forum!

    welcome to the forum!
Good eye! Funny thing is when we took delivery at the dealer (separate days), the TW was missing the LEFT reflector. The sales guy put a new one on and then when I got home the RIGHT was missing. Must have fallen off during the ride home!

That's because it's not a reflector..it's a deflector. A break away offroad ownership indicator meant to deflect the rider. It is designed to get torn off by bushes/branches. The idea here is that it snags you and knocks you to the ground to get your first wipe out over with. It's meant to work in tandem with the stock front tire that I affectionately call the Judo Master. Once you recover from these few short comings, the TW is a really fun bike.

All jokes aside ...Welcome a board!

But serious my reflector got snagged twice and then I removed it....if I planned on keeping it on road I'd turn it to face behind so it won't snag. And the front tire is infamously bad so I'm on my second tire upgrade. This time the very popular shinko sr241 4.00 x 18.

I know it's February, but with temps in the 50's, abundant sunshine, and a new bike to play with, I couldn't resist getting out for a bit today---and of course had to take some baby pictures
