The heck with the mix ratio written on the bottle.
3 or 4 ounces to a tank. Mix it heavy.
Run the bike till you are sure it is in the carb and through the engine.
Get it good and warm. It will not run perfectly. But it will run.
That is how you know you have the right mix.
    Shut it down.
Wait overnight, then start it up the next day and run it again.
You may have to do this a few times.
I almost never take carbs apart anymore.

You can't put a whole can in a tank (if you have to) and want to spend the 8-10 bucks, np. Done it many times. Letting it sit overnight is key, smitty is correct. If it's take the carb apart vs 10 bucks I dump a half can to start.

JJ has the right info, as usual.
    Mix it really heavy.

    It WILL work.
