What year is it?

Ye olde manual for my late model calls for checking the following for no spark

Check:

1. spark plug

2. ignition spark gap

3. spark plug cap resistance

4. ignition coil resistance

5. pickup coil resistance

6. source coil resistance

7. main switch

8. engine stop switch

9. sidestand switch

10.wiring (of the entire ignition system)

Min.ignition spark gap

6 mm (0.24 in)

Spark plug cap resistance

10 kΩ at 20 °C (68 °F)

Primary coil resistance

0.18 ~ 0.28 Ω at 20 °C (68 °F)

Pickup coil resistance

656 ~ 984 Ω at 20 °C (68 °F)

(between white and red)

Secondary coil resistance

6.32 ~ 9.48 kΩ at 20 °C (68 °F)

Source coil resistance

624 ~ 936 Ω at 20 °C (68 °F)

(between green and brown)

1994. I looked at the manual and it isn't 12V on the ignition wire at coil. I was going to jump 12V to the coil and see if it would crank.

There is a test procedure in the manual but I was being lazy looking for an easy way to diagnose.
