I'm guessing the bike came with one, but I can't find it. I tried searching, but my inquiry involved the word "kit" and for some reason, the search is limited to words that have (4) or more characters. What's with that?

Anyway, eBay lists a TW tool kit retainer strap for 87 to 12 models, but I can't find a kit on my newly acquired 87.

Can someone point me in the right direction? If it doesn't have one hidden away, I'll buy that retainer and assemble one. As far as I know, the tool kit could be there and I've just looked right over it.

Thanks.

It's supposed to be under the right plastic side cover, strapped to the bottom of the compartment containing the relays, fuse and cdi.

Bingo. And there it resides. Not much room there, occupies space for the wires. They all look perfect but I'd be afraid to add anything tho.

Since I wanted to add a few small tools, I'll just pull the kit from there and put it in the ol' backpack.

Thanks for the assist LB.

Adding a second wrench that will fit the rear wheel hub nuts would be a good call. I carry a multitool because many of my bolts have been replaced with allen head fasteners. When in doubt ask and you will be rewarded with humility. Cheers. Tom
