Been all over the place lately looking for a stable mate for the TW. Just want a simple Standard class utility bike with a little more giddy up than the Mule for weekend rides rubbernecking the scenery. My days of coast to coast two wheel travel are long gone. Was leaning towards a 70's classic type but my MC mechanic and spiritual advisor cautioned me about maintenance issues, parts availability and safety as well as performance. So I found a 2003 750 Nighthawk with 2060 original miles on it. Red with a buckskin tan Corbin seat. Pretty little bike. In my opinion the 750 Nighthawk was/is the finest utility bike ever produced. Bullet proof motor, good performance, comfortable riding position and a 2003 means plenty of parts available. Downside, it's in Texas. $350 for shipping. But what they hey. Probably won't be buying many more bikes on this earthly go around. I think I need to pull the trigger on this one. I also was looking at an 84 Hawk 650. Hawk's are great bikes. This one has 9K miles on it and owned by a 70 y/o guy who has not beat the crap out of it. But the Nighthawk seems to be a better fit.
