Hello All,
I'm new to the forum and new to the Yamaha TW200 although not new to motorcycles. I recently bought a 2006 Yamaha TW200 that was being parted out because the engine had lost power according to the previous owner. It is now missing the front fender and bracket, headlight and cowl assembly, ignition switch, seat, side covers, complete rear fender and support frame and taillight, and the wiring is somewhat butchered. After getting it home, I discovered that the exhaust valve adjuster lock nut had backed completely off and the adjuster screw was backed out as far as it could therefore, the exhaust valve was barely opening.

After restoring the exhaust valve to proper clearance, the engine runs great and the odometer is only showing 682 miles. Tires look almost new.

My goal for bikes in this condition has always been to get them back on the road instead of parting them out but I'm just not sure about this one.

Thank you for this site. It has already been a great help.
