First post, but I joined last year and have been lurking since.

All the good advice on the old and new forums helped me farlke my 2008 TW200. Thanks to all of you.

Since my wife and I are full-time RVers, I can only carry one bike with us in the bed of the pickup. Unfortunately, I am addicted to Airheads. I found an 85 R80 here in Yuma and bought it. I would like to take the Beemer with us. It needs love. But I can’t bring myself to store the TW. It’s too nice a bike.

Below is my Craigslist ad for the TW. I have it up in Phoenix to maiximze its exposure. The bike is located in Yuma.

If I can answer any questions or send larger pics, please pm me.

Nice TW200. I've been looking at your add for awhile but just too much $$$ for me. I guess I'll keep my 1994 TW.

Good luck with the sale. If you decide to keep it to ride over the winters, let me know and maybe we can organize a ride with you...

Thanks for the kind words.

It probably is priced a little high. The wife wants me to try and recoup some of the cost of the farkles.

One thing the TW taught me is that I'm not a dirt rider. Tried a couple of simple trails, and it wasn't for me. I've been riding since 1966. Better to stick to the streets.

I saw a TW 200 for the first time in Yuma while deployed to MCAS before leaving for the first Gulf war in 1990. It was on base and I had to get a closer look to see what the hell it was-street legal and all. Good luck selling-TW and Yuma go together nicely.

You're absolutely right. Yuma and the surrounding area are perfect for the TW.

Great little bike that will go anywhere. It would be my bike of choice if it weren't for my Airhead addiction.

FYI, you probably wouldn't recognize MCAS now. Lots of new buildings including a big new exchange.

Thanks for your service.

Thanks to everybody who has looked at my TW.

The link to the Craigslist ad is broken. I took the ad down as it is time for us to move north for the summer.

We will be in Silverton, OR. When we arrive, I'll relist the TW on the Salem Craigslist and this forum.

Back again.

Received a call last night from Richard. The call went directly to voicemail and the call back number was garbled.

Richard, if you're out there, the TW is still available. Please call again.

It's no fun getting old!

We made it to Likely, CA last night.

We should be in Klamath Falls, OR for the weekend. Then on to Medford, OR and into Silverton, OR by next Friday. I'll post the TW on the Salem Craigslist when we get there.

The TW is riding fine in the bed of our pickup, although it is getting a little dusty from the trip. A lot of desert between Yuma and here.

Thanks for looking.

Bike sold today to a gentleman from Central Point, OR who is just coming back into riding.

I encouraged him to take an MSF course and to join the TW200 Forum.

He rode away with a smile on his face.

Thanks to all of you for checking out my ad.

Now, back to my Airhead (which unfortunately is still in Yuma). And it's too hot and too far to go get right now. Oh well, the carbs, petcocks and fuel tank are in the coach. Idle hands and all that...

Regards,

Larry
