Beautiful place all year round, in my humble opinion.
I have not found too much mud, though winter and spring you better be prepared to ford lots of water holes and streams. All my usual haunts have lots of rocks and pretty good drainage.

OMG...how beautiful......it maybe true that the salvation of man is in the wilderness.....I recall when Washington State had a population of about one million and now it is around 8 million and it is always listed among the best places to live and prosper and retire....and so I did....(y)

But really, anywhere in the intermountain west is intriguing to me.....but Washington State has whales and mountain goats and salt water and glaciers and urbane areas with Major League teams....and no income taxes if I am allowed to say that....!!;)

Thought long and hard about just that. Unfortunately the XT needed too many parts and too much money to get it up to my standards. Fortunate for my TW.

The previous owner really enjoyed riding and not maintenance. Bent forks, broken spokes, needs new valves, etc…

I plan to take my time, fully disassemble, inspect, repair, replace and perform a mild performance build on the motor.

Not sure what I will do with the XT, may turn in to a Frankenstein electric build.

XT 225’s are one of my all time favorites. Sold my last XT225 years ago and have always thought twice about it. Replaced it with a WR250R which I really enjoy.

How's the tank interior? Moving it over the the TW?

The exterior of the tank has minor surface rust in the small dents. I will have to check to confirm the status of the interior. At this time I have no plan to use the XT tank. I purchased the bike 2 years ago, topped off the tank with fuel and stabilizer. I expect the interior of the tank may have some minor corrosion. Will check and get back to you.
I tore down a low mile but beat up no title (but legal) TTR225 and even that was hard
