A guy by me is selling a 1990 TW for 2500 bucks!!! Are you serious? I offered him 850 and that is even high. The bike only has 1000 miles on it, but still, 2500!!! Some people are crazy

(In Oregon or Washington you could sell a decent 1990 with 1000 miles for close to twice the $850 that you offered him.)



There is a reason that they have a good resale value.

I saw that one too, down in milwaukee. Whats with people wanting so much for their old stuff? Theres a '93 Dr650 for $2600. You could get a decent '02 Klr for that much!

I saw a nice lookin 04 klr650 on craigslist asking 2000 obo. If I didnt have the dub I'd get it.

The internet is to blame for all the crazy asking prices for anything. Now you have a huge potential buyer market and some people want something so badly they overpay. And for TWs there aren't that many out there to begin with. I ran into the same thing when I decided to get one when you did see a used one it was between $2500 to $3000 for one with around 3000 miles and they would be gone by the time you called about them. I got a new one for $4400 OTD so I decide that since I was going to keep it I would just get a new one.

It pays to look around, I bought a brand new '07 off the dealers floor for $3000 OTD last fall.

That's a really good deal unfortunately mine was the oldest one around left (2012 when the 2013s came out) but good point always shop around.
